The Big One.

Well its official. I have finally won a race. It was a good race to win because I am now the Virginia State Crit Champion. Let me give you a little run down of the race.

I decided to do the junior race for reasons unknown. Mainly because I'm tired of doing 4 races and I want my 3 upgrade. There were about 15 kids in the race. My biggest competition was Lucas and Elliot (Fat Frogs). Both Cat 3's so I knew the race would be hard. There was also Kyle (All About Trikes), as well as Pat and Dominic.

The race was not really that fast. We all pretty much contributed to the work. I decided Luke was the most likely to win, so I stuck to his wheel the whole day. With about 8 to go, some Jrvs kid took a flyer, and we let him sit out there until about 3 to go. Luke attacked really hard and I had trouble closing the gaps. I eventually closed it myself, bringing along a few others. We started the last lap with Luke, Elliot, Pat, myself, and Dominic. I felt good, and grabbed Lukes wheel. Going into the last turn, I was 4th, behind Pat, Luke and Elliot. I went over to the right, saw that noone was sprinting, looked at Elliot and opened it up. I passed Luke, and then Elliot and knew I had it won. It was the most amazing feeling in my life.

This is pretty corny, but since its my first win, theres alot of people I'd like to thank in getting here.
First off, my 4th grade teacher Mr. Bitgood. He was the won who got me started riding bikes in Connecticut.
HEATHER, for being one of the best friends ever and always helping me out. You're the best!
I'd like to thank Gener, for bringing me on to SR Racing, getting me to start training hard and realizing I could win, and thanks to the rest of the SR team.
Bender, for taking me to races
Mark, for putting up with my shit and listening to me whine about how im not fast, the Dogg and DBo for the good times on rides
and last but not least, my parents, for always being there for me supporting me 100%
